Creative Living Beyond Fear with Melissa Gibson Smith
Creativity has a way of calling to us.
Sometimes it whispers through an unfinished novel, a sketchbook tucked away in a drawer, a business idea you've never pursued, or the quiet desire to make something simply because it brings you joy.
Just as often, fear answers first.
This September, Epiphany Space invites you to spend four Tuesday evenings exploring Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert. Together, we'll read and discuss the entire book, sharing ideas, asking questions, and discovering what it means to live a more creative life with greater courage and curiosity.
This isn't a lecture or a class. It's a conversation.
Each week we'll discuss a different section of the book, reflect on Gilbert's ideas, and learn from one another's experiences. Please come to the first session having read Courage + Enchantment. We'll continue through the rest of the book over the following three weeks.
Whether you're a lifelong artist or someone who's only beginning to explore your creative side, you'll find an encouraging environment where creativity is celebrated, questions are welcome, and everyone's perspective adds something valuable to the discussion.
By the end of our four weeks together, our hope is that you'll leave with:
- Greater courage to pursue your creative ideas
- More confidence in your unique creative voice
- A healthier relationship with fear and perfectionism
- Inspiration to build a sustainable creative practice
- Connections with a community who understand the joys and challenges of the creative life
At Epiphany Space, we believe creativity grows stronger in community. This book study is more than four weeks of discussion. It's an invitation into a creative community where artists, dreamers, makers, and creative entrepreneurs encourage one another long after the final chapter is finished.
Registration: $30 (Study included in community membership. Members sign up in Mighty Networks.)
Participants should provide their own copy of Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert.
